InnoCarnival 2011

Underscoring the 3 main themes, namely Health Science, Green and Quality Living, as well as Information and Communication Technology, the Carnival features a diverse array of activities such as large-scale exhibitions, an electric vehicle exhibition and test drive, interactive games, talks, workshops, guided tours, science competitions and prize presentation ceremonies, for members of the public to gain hands-on experience of the convenience and fun brought by innovation and technology to daily life.
You are invited to embark on an innovation and technology expedition at the InnoCarnival by participating in 40 InnoTalks sessions, 130 InnoTech workshops, and over 300 guided tours .
All activities of InnoCarnival 2011 are free-of-charge. Some activities would require advance registration.
Highlights of InnoCarnival
- Exhibitions
Various programme partners including local universities, R&D Centres, professional bodies, government departments, technology enterprises and youth education organisations will set up pavilions / booths to showcase their innovations and research achievements, as well as cutting edge inventions from winners of major science competitions to showcase the boundless creativity and notable achievements of Hong Kong's students.
McMug, a popular cartoon icon among adults and children, will also show up during the carnival to learn science theories and take photos with the public.
- Electric vehicle exhibition and test drive
A number of electric vehicles will be showcased in the carnival and some of them will be made available for test driving by members of the public with valid driving licenses issued by the HKSARG, to enable the public to get a better understanding of the technology and gain hands-on experience in greener driving. (EV Car Test drive only available on 5-6, 12-13 November)

Advanced registration is required on site, first come first served.
- Interactive games
Visitors can experience the latest science and technology innovations through participating in various interactive games in pavilions / booths. Visitors can also experience the fun and thrilling motion sensing games in the carnival.
- InnoTalks and seminars
Talks on various topics will be given by distinguished scholars, industry professionals, enlightening the public on the latest insights and research findings relating to innovation and technology.
- InnoTech workshops
Various workshops suitable for the participation of the youth and families would be offered throughout the Carnival to help nurture their boundless creativity.
- Guided tours
Members of the public can sign up for guided tours to visit the facilities in the Science Park so as to gain a better understanding of the local development of innovation and technology.
- Competitions and prize presentation ceremonies
Various programme partners will organise innovation and technology-related science competitions and prize presentation ceremonies during the carnival to enable the public to witness the talent of young people in Hong Kong.
